Synopsis

A schoolteacher from the East, Molly Woods, arrives in Medicine Bow and crosses paths with two cowboys: the reckless Steve and the reserved Virginian, whose blunt demeanor immediately puts her on edge. Soon the Virginian learns that Steve has been drawn into the circle of Trampas, a black-hatted outlaw leading a gang of rustlers, and is forced to take command of a posse to bring them to justice. Caught between her disapproval of frontier violence and the escalating need to confront lawlessness, Molly must reckon with the harsh realities of the West as loyalties are tested and tempers flare.
