Synopsis
Greg drifts toward graduation, lost in daydreams of success—poetry, top grades and romantic glory—while secretly admiring Cinny, the bright, beautiful classmate he longs to date. Pressured by his mother to apply to colleges and nudged by an encouraging teacher, he discovers a way to get closer to Cinny: ask her to help with his applications. Friendship quickly proves insufficient for what he wants, so Greg invents small deceptions to edge into something more. For a while the ruse seems to work, but the web of lies begins to unravel, and the consequences force him to choose between perpetual fantasizing and facing the responsibilities of growing up.
