Synopsis
After a monstrous shapeshifter known as a youma descends on his home and kills his family, young Raki is rescued by a lone silver-eyed swordswoman — a Claymore, a manufactured half-human, half-youma warrior bred to exterminate those beasts. Cast out by the surviving villagers despite his savior’s intervention, he clings to Clare and follows her as she wanders from settlement to settlement. Together they hunt the creatures that prey on the innocent, and along the way Raki begins to learn about the secretive organization that created Claymores and the other fighters who share Clare’s burden. With every town cleansed and every monster felled, they inch closer to the single youma Clare has been hunting ever since she chose this path of vengeance.
