Is the TV show Judo Boy available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
At Stream Tracker, we took a look at Kurenai Sanshiro — better known internationally as Judo Boy — the 1969 Tatsunoko series about Sanshiro, a teenage martial artist from the Kurenai School of Jiujitsu who wanders from dojo to dojo hunting his father’s killer. With only a glass eye as a clue to a one-eyed murderer, and accompanied by the orphan Kenbo and his dog Boke, the show mixes episodic mystery, hand-to-hand action and that late‑60s anime grit. In this article we check where you can actually watch Judo Boy today — is it on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+? We’ll cover current streaming availability, what to expect from the episodes, and whether the series’ punchy takedowns and lone‑samurai vibe have been preserved in modern releases.
Synopsis
Sanshiro, a teenage jiujitsu student at the Kurenai School, turns his discipline into a mission to uncover who killed his father. He is joined by Kenbo, a streetwise orphan, and Kenbo’s loyal dog Boke as they follow a lone, chilling clue — a discarded glass eye at the crime scene that suggests the murderer was missing an eye. With every lesson and confrontation, Sanshiro inches closer to the truth, testing his skills, loyalty, and resolve against enemies who hide in the shadows.
