Synopsis

Haunted by a painful past, Cheng Yu'an has barricaded himself from others — until one stormy evening when he takes in Lin Qi and they enter an unconventional "master-and-pet" arrangement, sharing a home but keeping their distance. Lin Qi's softhearted nature and habit of bending the rules gradually chips away at Cheng's defenses; he bends his own rules in return, even risking the disapproval of his family to protect the younger man. As Lin Qi digs into the mystery surrounding his father's death, long-hidden aspects of Cheng's life begin to emerge, forcing both men to confront their secrets and needs. What starts as shelter slowly becomes something more complicated and consuming: a fierce, sensuous romance between a guarded lawyer and a gentle artist, where the lines between guardian and lover blur — who will be the first to let go and surrender their heart?
