Is the movie 40 Days and 40 Nights available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
40 Days and 40 Nights (2002) is a cheeky romantic comedy that turns the rules of temptation into its central gag. Josh Hartnett plays Matt Sullivan, a man nursing a broken heart who takes a Lenten-style vow of total abstinence — no sex, for 40 straight days — until Shannyn Sossamon’s Erica arrives and everything he’s vowed collapses into temptation, awkward honesty and unexpected romance. Directed by Michael Lehmann, the film leans into the give-and-take of desire and commitment with a wink rather than a sermon. The movie didn’t rack up major industry awards, but it’s stayed in circulation as a cult favorite for viewers who like their rom-coms a little irreverent. Wondering where to stream it now?
