Away We Go

Synopsis

Verona and Burt move to Colorado to be near Burt’s parents as they prepare for their first child, but their plans collapse when his parents suddenly relocate to Belgium. Left in a place they never loved and suddenly without a safety net, the couple set off on a whirlwind journey, staying with friends and relatives across a string of very different towns and climates. Each stop — from cramped city flats to quiet mountain towns — exposes them to new rhythms of daily life and contrasting family dynamics. As they sample other households and parenting approaches, they slowly realize the trip isn’t about finding the perfect hometown but about deciding what kind of parents they want to be.
