Synopsis
Bernard Nissille's subtle film unfolds during a staging of Shakespeare's The Winter's Tale, where a theatre director, a queen, and a mysterious figure known as the Bear become caught in an intimate love triangle. Drawing on his experience acting with Bulle Ogier in Olivier Assayas's Irma Vep, Nissille cast the celebrated opera and film director Patrice Chéreau to star opposite Ogier, joined by Michel Piccoli and Emmanuelle Salinger, noted for her role in Arnaud Desplechin's The Sentinel.
