Synopsis

A burned-out country singer and his ragtag band drift along lonely highways, booking dives and county fairs while trying to keep themselves together as everything around them starts to collapse. What begins as a routine tour through Appalachia becomes a pressure cooker of old wounds: a violent bar fight forces them to flee a small town, a stash of meth reappears to test loyalties, and an uneasy veteran’s memories of combat resurface in nightmares that leak into daytime arguments. The singer’s fragile romance with a woman named Alice offers brief reprieve, but letters from an estranged childhood friend force him to face the family he’s been running from. As winter closes in and the road bends toward Tennessee’s mountains, leadership fractures and secrets tumble out—who is steering the band, who is carrying the guilt, and who is bound to ride until they run on empty?
