Is the movie Chariots of Fire available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
Here at Stream Tracker, we keep an eye on where to find the films that matter — starting with Chariots of Fire (1981), the spare, stirring tale of two British runners who race for Olympic glory amid class divides, religious conviction and the strictures of the Sabbath. Winner of four Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Original Score by Vangelis, the film remains famous for its stride down the track as much as for its moral stakes. In this article we check whether you can catch Eric Liddell and Harold Abrahams on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+, and explain where to start the search and how to get the film streaming or to rent.
Synopsis
Against the backdrop of a socially rigid, religiously split Britain in the early 1920s, two driven young athletes prepare for the 1924 Paris Olympics. Eric Liddell, raised by Scottish missionaries in China, treats running as an act of worship and refuses to train or compete on the Sabbath. Harold Abrahams, determined to break through anti‑Semitic and class barriers, sacrifices his personal life and distances himself from the woman he loves in his relentless pursuit of victory.
