Is the movie Chimpanzee available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?

At Stream Tracker, we keep an eye on where films land so you can find them fast — whether on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+. Disneynature’s Chimpanzee (2012) is a tender, sometimes harrowing portrait of life in the African rainforest: through the eyes of Oscar, a young chimpanzee, we follow his first tentative steps across the canopy, his bond with his mother, the shock of separation, and his rescue by an older chimp who offers protection within the troop. Shot in the Ivory Coast and Ugandan jungles, the documentary mixes intimate close-ups, suspenseful encounters and moments of joy that bring the primate world to life. While not a major awards juggernaut, Chimpanzee was widely praised for its cinematography and emotional storytelling — and in this article the Stream Tracker team explains where you can stream it now.

Chimpanzee

Synopsis

Told through the eyes of Oscar, a curious young chimp, this nature film follows a family living in the rainforests of the Ivory Coast and Uganda as they teach him the ways of the wild. We witness his first tentative explorations, playful discoveries and fragile bonds, moving between moments of warmth, levity and sudden dread. When a disaster separates him from his mother, Oscar must navigate a hostile jungle alone until an older female chimp finds him and becomes his protector, guiding him toward survival and a new sense of belonging.
