Synopsis
As Helen counts down to her eighteenth wedding anniversary, the comfortable life she shares with Charles — a successful attorney, a grand home, and all the trappings of success — collapses when she returns home to find her clothes loaded into a U-Haul. Charles tells her he’s filing for divorce and boots her out. Homeless and stunned, Helen turns to her feisty grandmother Madea, a blunt, no-nonsense woman who refuses to let her wallow. Through Madea’s tough love and candid lessons, Helen is forced to confront what truly matters, rediscover her faith, and rebuild her sense of love, purpose, and happiness.
