At Stream Tracker, we check where to watch the films and shows people actually want to find — starting with cult-y stand-up hybrids like Eddie Griffin: DysFunktional Family (2003). Part mockumentary, part live routine, the film cuts between Griffin’s blistering sets — riffing on everything from Michael Jackson to terrorism — and a tour of his Kansas City roots, introducing a truly dysFUNctional clan (think Uncle Buckey the ex‑pimp and Uncle Curtis with an infamous home‑shot porn collection). In this article, we’ll see whether you can stream this raw, outrageous hour on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+, and tell you where it’s available right now.
Synopsis
During breaks in his riotous stand-up sets—where his jokes leap from pop icons to global headlines—comedian Eddie Griffin returns to his native Kansas City in a provocative mockumentary. Between stage bits he navigates familiar streets and invites the camera into the lives of his outrageously unconventional relatives: Uncle Buckey, a onetime pimp with a treasure trove of tall tales, and Uncle Curtis, who preserves a massive collection of adult films—many self-shot. The result is a blunt, often shocking fusion of live comedy and intimate family portraits, full of dark humor and unpredictable moments.
