Synopsis
Anthony Swofford, a U.S. Marine hardened by a brutal boot camp, is deployed to the Persian Gulf with his unit expecting combat. Instead of joining the front lines, they find themselves kept on the sidelines, staring at a war that never quite reaches them. Haunted by doubts about his girlfriend’s faithfulness, Swofford’s psyche frays, and his simmering anger and violent impulses begin to swell.
