Synopsis
The body of a woman is discovered in a lonely cottage on the Sussex coast, triggering a methodical inquiry led by Detective Inspector Fred Fellows and Detective Sergeant Jim Wilks. Their investigation picks apart alibis, interviews witnesses and follows a trail of small, telling clues through the streets and seafront of Brighton and Hove—and beyond—until a web of secrets and unexpected links begins to emerge. Tension mounts as the detectives piece together motives that reach back into the city’s dark past. Adapted from Hillary Waugh’s novel Sleep Long My Love and loosely inspired by the Brighton Trunk Murders of the late 1930s.
