Synopsis
Nine-year-old Kit Kittredge is forced to grow up fast when the Great Depression upends her family: her father loses his business and leaves town to look for work. To keep their house, Kit and her mother take in paying boarders—colorful strangers with surprising backgrounds and tales to tell.
