A Los Angeles woman, weary of romantic misfires, falls for a handsome man from the East Coast on a dating app and impulsively flies across the country to surprise him for Christmas—only to learn she’s been catfished. Unexpectedly, the real man she’s been dreaming about turns out to live in the same town she’s visiting, and the scammer offers a bargain: he’ll arrange their meeting if she agrees to pose as his girlfriend for the holiday. As the staged relationship leads to real chemistry, she must choose between playing along or risking everything for a chance at true love.
