Synopsis
At the end of the 1960s, Brian Wilson withdraws from the road to concentrate on crafting the landmark album Pet Sounds, even as his mental state begins to unravel. By the 1980s he has fallen under the influence of a controlling therapist who isolates and debilitates him, until Melinda Ledbetter arrives and becomes the decisive presence who helps him break free and rebuild his life.
