Is the movie Magnolia available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
At Stream Tracker, we take a look at Magnolia (1999), Paul Thomas Anderson’s sprawling mosaic set in the San Fernando Valley where a dying father, a game-show host, a boy genius, a cop in love and a host of other characters collide in a dazzling multiplicity of plots — and in one strange, unforgettable day (yes, complete with that infamous rain of frogs). The film’s emotional intensity and converging coincidences have made it a modern touchstone of ensemble storytelling. Magnolia was rewarded on the festival circuit and earned high-profile recognition: it won the Golden Lion at the Venice Film Festival and received multiple Academy Award nods, including a Best Supporting Actor nomination for Tom Cruise. In this article, the Stream Tracker team checks where you can stream Magnolia right now — whether it’s available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+ — and how to catch those intersecting lives online.
Synopsis
On an otherwise ordinary day in the San Fernando Valley, a dying father, his young wife, a male caregiver, a celebrated but missing son, a lovestruck police officer, a child prodigy, a former prodigy, a flashy game-show host and an estranged daughter find their lives pulled into a shifting web of schemes, secrets and small miracles. Their separate motives—grief, longing, ambition, guilt and the search for belonging—spark a series of intersecting incidents that multiply into dizzying subplots, only to collapse into one unexpected, unifying story about how people finally find each other.
