Synopsis
A naive Englishman named Mr. Bean, a hapless watchman at the Royal National Gallery, finds himself the target of the board’s efforts to remove him. When the chairman—who has taken a peculiar liking to Bean—blocks their plan, the directors instead ship him off to Los Angeles as the museum’s ambassador for the grand unveiling of a historic painting, a public stunt designed to humiliate him. Unaware of the setup, Bean must somehow pull off the ceremony successfully or face not only his own dismissal but also the firing of an unlucky L.A. curator who becomes caught up in the plot.
