Synopsis

Impoverished actor-playwright Molière is buried in debt. When the well-to-do Monsieur Jourdain offers to clear his obligations if Molière will deploy his theatrical craft to woo a certain widowed marquise, the duo embark on a string of ruses, disguises and misunderstandings that spark a cascade of comic chaos.
