Synopsis
During the summer of 1991, elderly Ghislaine Marchal is discovered murdered in the basement of her home, a chilling message—"Omar m'a tuer"—scrawled beside her in her own blood. With no forensic or DNA evidence tying him to the crime, her Moroccan gardener Omar Raddad is nonetheless convicted and sentenced to eighteen years in a French prison. Troubled by the verdict and convinced of Raddad’s innocence, journalist Pierre-Emmanuel Vaugrenard moves to Nice to investigate, determined to unravel the case and expose the truth.
