Synopsis
When the world floods, an enormous Ark rises to carry Earth's creatures to safety—except for one unwelcome group: the awkward, well-meaning Nestrians. Dave and his son Finny, two of those hapless Nestrians, slip aboard in secret with the accidental help of Hazel and her daughter Leah, members of the fastidious Grymp clan. Believing they are finally secure, the children are soon swept off the vessel and cast into a savage, waterlogged world. Cut off from their parents, Finny and Leah must dodge ravenous predators, improvise shelters and courageously make their way toward a distant mountain that promises refuge. Meanwhile Dave and Hazel are forced to bury old grievances, set aside pride, and turn the Ark around to find and rescue their kids. A race against time, the flood and one another, this is a heartening, perilous voyage where family bonds are tested and heroes emerge in the least likely forms.
