Synopsis
Called in to defuse a tense clash between a timber company and a nearby Indigenous community, ecologist Dr. Robert Verne and his wife Maggie discover the dispute masks a far more dangerous threat. Chief John Hawks accuses the loggers of fouling the watershed; company liaison Isley insists the operations are clean, yet grotesquely altered animals keep turning up in the woods. When Robert captures a malformed bear cub for analysis, he inadvertently draws the lethal attention of its parent — a colossal, mutated grizzly that transforms the investigation into a fight for survival.
