Synopsis
In a sun-drenched villa in the Veneto, Tom Ripley — polished, prosperous and quietly dangerous — lives with Luisa, his girlfriend who fills the rooms with harpsichord music. When a former associate from Berlin’s criminal underworld appears asking for help to eliminate a rival, Ripley, always a keen student of human behavior, engineers a plan to turn an unassuming local picture framer into a hired killer. Jonathan Trevanny, dying of cancer and desperate to leave something for his wife and young son, proves vulnerable to Ripley’s manipulations.
