Is the movie Spellbound available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?

Here at the Stream Tracker team, we take a look at Alfred Hitchcock's Spellbound (1945) — a dream-haunted psychoanalytic thriller that pairs Ingrid Bergman and Gregory Peck in a tense investigation of identity, guilt and the subconscious. Set in a Vermont mental hospital, the film sends its characters into eerie dream sequences and Freudian territory as Dr. Constance Peterson probes an impostor's amnesia to unearth the truth. Spellbound won the Academy Award for Best Original Score (Miklós Rózsa), and its mix of suspense and psychoanalysis remains a striking example of Hitchcock's exploration of the mind. In this article we'll check current streaming options and tell you whether Spellbound is available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+, and how to find it if it’s in your region.

Synopsis

When a man arrives at a psychiatric hospital in Vermont claiming to be the new director, Dr. Constance Peterson, the outgoing head and a practicing psychoanalyst, soon realizes he is an impostor. The stranger admits the real Dr. Anthony Edwardes is dead and confesses he fears he might have killed him, yet his memory contains nothing of the event. Convinced of his innocence, Dr. Peterson commits to helping him recover his lost memories through intensive psychoanalytic work, and together they delve into his fractured past to uncover what really happened.
