Synopsis

After years of scrimping, John and his girlfriend finally put together the $30,000 they need for their ideal home and plan to marry once it's theirs. Their relief evaporates when John discovers his niece has been accepted to Harvard and remembers a pledge to cover her tuition — almost the same amount they'd just saved. Pressured and desperate, he lets his friend Duff talk him into small-time crime to raise the funds, but Duff’s reckless schemes soon spiral far beyond what they bargained for.
