Synopsis
In the same summer that Woodstock captured headlines, more than 300,000 people flocked to the Harlem Cultural Festival to honor Black music, arts, and community, a jubilant celebration of pride, resilience, and unity. Hours of footage from that season-long gathering lay forgotten in a basement for over half a century, obscuring a vital chapter of American cultural history—until its recent rediscovery brought the event back into the public eye.
