Is the movie Taiki available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
At Stream Tracker, we check where to watch films so you don't have to hunt through menus. This article looks at Taiki (2009), a tense family drama about Chiel and Linda's ill-fated attempt at a digital detox in the Swedish woods and their son Bruno, who'd rather stay home with his pixelated friend Taiki. As Bruno vanishes into the forest, the film plays out a simple but haunting argument: the pull of screens versus the pull of the wild. Below you'll find whether Taiki is currently streaming on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+, and — if the film has won any festival prizes or awards — those will be listed as well.
Synopsis
Chiel and Linda take their children to the Swedish countryside for a deliberate digital detox, hoping to wean their nine-year-old son Bruno away from the online games he prefers to play with his virtual friend Taiki. Tensions boil over during the trip and, in a punitive moment, they leave Bruno by the roadside. When they come back, he’s gone—lost in the surrounding forest—where he embarks on an unexpected journey that reveals the vivid, unpredictable rewards of the natural world and human connection, far more compelling than anything on a screen.
