The Bang Bang Club

Synopsis

In the early 1990s, as apartheid collapses, four photojournalists — Greg Marinovich, Kevin Carter, Ken Oosterbroek and João Silva — form a close-knit team driven to document the violent upheaval reshaping South Africa. They plunge into the front lines of brutal clashes between government-backed forces, including Inkatha Zulu fighters, and supporters of Nelson Mandela’s African National Congress, risking life and sanity to capture images that reveal the human toll and help define a nation’s future on the road to the 1994 election.
