The Brats is a small, sharp film about two men — newly engaged Thomas and his disillusioned future father‑in‑law Gilbert — who decide to trade settled marriage life (Suzanne, daughter Lola) for a reckless, brats‑style quest for freedom. Part comedy, part melancholy, the story unspools like a last gasp at adolescent dreams, full of mischief, risky adventures and the question of what’s sacrificed when you chase lost youth. Below you'll find whether The Brats is currently streaming on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or Apple TV+ in your region — and, where applicable, any festival prizes or awards the film has collected.

The Brats

Synopsis

Thomas, fresh from proposing to his girlfriend Lola, meets her father Gilbert, who after thirty years of marriage to Suzanne is haunted by the feeling that life has passed him by. Certain that commitment has cost him his chance at freedom, Gilbert persuades Thomas to call off the wedding and to abandon the ties that have been shaping his life. Father and prospective son‑in‑law then dive headlong into a juvenile, adventure‑filled spree—testing boundaries, chasing thrills, convinced that liberation lies in reclaiming lost youth. As their escapades escalate, they must confront the price of trying to resurrect adolescent dreams.
