The Color of Money

Synopsis

A once-prominent pool hustler known as "Fast Eddie" Felson decides to reenter the circuit by taking on a protégé. He finds Vincent Lauria, a naturally gifted but inexperienced player, and suggests they team up, touring pool halls while Eddie schooled him in the finer points of hustling—deception, set-ups and staged losses. As Vincent's showy, attention-seeking style grows, tensions flare and their partnership collapses after a bitter confrontation. Eddie returns to competing on his own, and soon he and Vincent meet again not as partners but as opponents.
