At Stream Tracker, we keep an eye on where films turn up across the major services. The Disaster Artist (2017) is James Franco’s affectionate, sometimes surreal retelling of how Greg Sestero met the enigmatic Tommy Wiseau and helped bring to life the cult phenomenon The Room — a behind-the-scenes tale that turns the making of “the worst movie ever made” into a strangely moving story about obsession, friendship and Hollywood dreams gone sideways. The film earned Franco a Golden Globe for Best Actor (Musical or Comedy) and scored an Academy Award nomination for Best Adapted Screenplay.
