Synopsis
Neville, an audacious young draftsman, is engaged to create a set of twelve landscape illustrations at the country estate of Mr. Herbert and his wife, Virginia. In addition to his fee, Virginia—estranged from her husband and seeking companionship—offers Neville a sexual affair while Mr. Herbert is away. When Mr. Herbert is later found murdered on the grounds, enigmatic details hidden in Neville’s sketches begin to surface as cryptic clues that point toward the killer’s identity.
