Synopsis
Sydney Schanberg, a New York Times correspondent, is assigned to cover the escalating Cambodian civil war, working closely with local interpreter Dith Pran and American photojournalist Al Rockoff. When U.S. forces pull out and violence spirals, Schanberg tries to secure an evacuation for Pran and his family. Pran, nonetheless, chooses to remain in Cambodia to continue documenting the crisis — a decision that becomes increasingly dangerous as the Khmer Rouge close in.
