The Marked Woman

Synopsis

Based on the novel by Rosa Montero and Olivier Truc, the film follows a woman pulled from a shipping container at the Port of Barcelona. On a nighttime patrol a guard’s German shepherd suddenly stops and insists on a particular crate; when the local police pry it open they find a dehydrated, unconscious woman with a gash at her temple and burns across her face and body. She survives but cannot remember her name, her past, or even her mother tongue. As she slowly regains strength at Hospital Clínic, two investigators take up her case: a veteran police inspector who specializes in human trafficking and a French operative whose involvement will pull them all into a perilous investigation. When an assassin attempts to kill the woman inside the hospital, the trio must race to unravel who she is and why someone wanted her erased.
