Synopsis
Fresh from college, Mia Thermopolis returns to Genovia to take on her royal responsibilities. With her loyal friend Lilly at her side, she resumes a crash course in princely protocol—perfecting side-saddle riding, practicing archery and other courtly skills—only to have her world abruptly reshaped when she’s informed she must assume the crown sooner than anyone expected. As she copes with the accelerated timetable and mounting pressures, she also finds herself drawn to a beguiling, mysterious young man who complicates everything.
