Is the movie Trees Lounge available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?
Here at Stream Tracker, we’re taking a look at Steve Buscemi’s 1996 directorial debut Trees Lounge and whether you can stream this bruised, barroom drama on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+. The film follows Tommy, a down-and-out regular who lives above the titular dive bar, drifts from one shift to another — including an ill-fated job driving an ice cream truck — and gets tangled up with his ex’s seventeen-year-old niece, sparking violent trouble with her father. Packed with smoky jukebox nights, barflies and small-town stasis, Trees Lounge helped establish Buscemi’s voice behind the camera and has earned a quiet cult following among critics and cinephiles. In the pages that follow, the Stream Tracker team checks current availability across the big streaming services and explains where you can watch, rent, or buy this bleakly funny character piece.
Synopsis
Tommy, adrift after losing his job and the woman he loved, drifts through his days in a cramped apartment above the Trees Lounge, a bar where he spends most nights with other aimless regulars. He takes a job driving an ice-cream truck, hoping for some routine, but becomes drawn into the life of his ex-girlfriend’s seventeen-year-old niece. The growing entanglement sparks a dangerous confrontation with the girl’s protective father, forcing Tommy to face the consequences of his choices.
