Synopsis
Diane Ford lives a solitary life on the road as a long-haul trucker, content with rare attachments—especially to the estranged 11-year-old son she barely knows, Peter. When Peter's father, Len, becomes unexpectedly sick, he begs Diane to step in and look after their son for a while. Diane agrees against her instincts, only to find that parenting clashes with the freedom she’s built into her schedule and identity. Peter, uprooted and wary of this sudden arrangement, resists as both of them struggle to find common ground.
