Think of it as a short road map from the Midwest’s frozen grief to the dimly lit streets where the film unfolds.

Welcome to the Rileys

Synopsis

Years after the death of their teenage daughter, Lois and Doug Riley — once-respectable residents of Indiana — find their lives stalled and their marriage hollowed out by a grief that has driven them apart. On a business trip to New Orleans, Doug is pulled, by a sudden and inexplicable compulsion, into the life of an underage sex worker; he insinuates himself into her world and slowly becomes her platonic protector.
