Synopsis
Based on true events, this series recounts the chilling crimes of John Worboys, a London taxi driver who preyed on female passengers by claiming he'd won money and persistently offering them champagne spiked with drugs, rendering them unconscious before sexually assaulting them. Convicted in 2009 for attacks on 12 women between 2006 and 2008—cases taken from a much larger pool of suspected victims—the drama examines the survivors’ stories, the investigation that brought him to justice, and the wider questions of institutional failure and accountability.
