Synopsis
Two years after a high-stakes operation in Warsaw, veteran crisis manager Vyacheslav Vasiliev is sent to Berlin to take charge of an embassy left nearly empty by exiled diplomats. His mandate is twofold: keep the diplomatic mission functioning amid hostility and quietly prevent a widening conflict that threatens to engulf Europe. Working alongside Sergei Nenashev, a shadowy intelligence operative who will run off-the-books operations, Vasiliev handles the official face of the assignment while Sergei moves in the gray zones. Old tensions between them have been set aside — they now operate as a tightly coordinated pair, strengthened by a personal debt: Sergei once saved Vasiliev’s daughter.
