Synopsis
In pursuit of love and redemption, Helena — a former secretary who cleverly married her wealthy employer, António Fontes Morais — has secured a life of luxury and the public image of a perfect trophy wife. They have two children: Tomás, a globe-trotting playboy who has spent years in the United States, and Camila, a pampered socialite obsessed with shopping and her phone. Since António’s brother Fausto was murdered, the family lives under constant protection, with a driver and armed guards, and Fausto’s son Miguel now being raised by his aunt and uncle. Helena’s resentment toward the Rocha family grows as tensions rise when both Tomás and his cousin Miguel fall in love with Laura, a compassionate nurse who finds herself at the center of a volatile love triangle that threatens to shatter the fragile peace between the two clans. Consumed by jealousy, Verónica — hopelessly in love with Tomás — and Helena will stop at nothing to remove Laura from their path.
