Synopsis
When Canada announces its first official bid to participate in the 2027 Eurovision Song Contest, the country is plunged into a fierce, televised national selection that becomes a battleground for identity, ambition and showmanship. Follow a diverse group of artists — a seasoned francophone pop star, a viral indie songwriter from the Maritimes, a Métis electronic producer, and a charismatic Quebec drag performer — as they navigate cutthroat producers, passionate fans, and the emotional toll of chasing an international spotlight. Behind the glitter, political pressure mounts: federal officials push for a unifying cultural narrative while regional leaders fight for representation, and social media amplifies every triumph and misstep. The series peels back the curtain on what it takes to craft a song, a stage act, and a national image, revealing personal sacrifices, unexpected alliances and the cost of fame. At stake is more than a chance at Eurovision glory — it’s a test of who gets to define what modern Canada sounds and looks like to the world.
