Is the TV show Days We Stared at the Sun available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?

Days We Stared at the Sun (2010) is a raw, coming-of-age drama that blends adolescent mischief with an ominous edge — honor student Chen Hao Yuan and his delinquent friend Hong Cheng Yi navigate missing bees, rumors of a 2012 apocalypse, a teacher's dirty secrets and a corrupt politician who ruins their families, all while plotting a violent climax the night before graduation. If that mix of schoolyard loyalty, bank-robbery backstory and apocalyptic paranoia sounds like your kind of watch, you’ll want to know where to stream it: check Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video and Apple TV+ listings on Stream Tracker to see current availability. The series has attracted attention for its gritty premise and tense moral stakes; it has not, however, been widely reported to have won major international awards.

Days We Stared at the Sun

Synopsis

Chen Haoyuan is a top student with a gentle, thoughtful air, while his best friend Hong Chengyi is a troubled rebel who once served time in juvenile detention for a bank heist. Together they pull a classmate back from addiction, blow the lid off a teacher’s hidden corruption, and even chase rumors about disappearing bees tied to doomsday whispers for 2012. Their lighthearted camaraderie turns into seething anger when they learn a corrupt politician is behind the misfortunes that have ruined both their families. Driven by vengeance, the two arm themselves and set in motion a desperate, explosive plan on the eve of their high school graduation.
