El doble (2026) is a three‑episode documentary‑musical hosted by producer Jordi Cubino, who sets out to cast, train and relaunch a modern performer capable of reviving the 1980s Eurodance craze he once lived under the stage name David Lyme. The format mixes casting-room tension, rehearsal montages and archival nostalgia—synth hooks, neon choreography and dancefloor dreams—into a compact portrait of cultural resurrection. Synopsis
A three-episode hybrid documentary and musical series that follows producer Jordi Cubino as he searches for, selects, and mentors a contemporary performer capable of reigniting the Eurodance craze of the 1980s. Through nationwide casting, intensive coaching, and performance preparation, the show recreates the creative process and cultural moments that marked Cubino’s own rise in that era under the stage name David Lyme.
