Synopsis

Mutated humans known as Diclonius—born with a pair of horns and a frightening telekinetic "sixth sense"—are feared as beings supposedly chosen by God and fated to bring about humanity's destruction. Hunted and locked away in clandestine government labs, they are treated as living weapons. Lucy, a young and unstable Diclonius, stages a brutal breakout that leaves most of the laboratory guards dead before she is struck by a bullet to the head. She survives and drifts ashore, where two teenagers, Kouta and Yuka, discover her; suffering from amnesia and able only to murmur "Nyuu," she is taken into Kouta's home. As she tries to piece together a new life, a darker, more dangerous Lucy may still be lurking beneath her fragile new identity.
