Synopsis

Pak Tsin-ngam, a recently retired school principal, returns to Hong Kong from Canada and is drawn to the newly rebuilt Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate by the memory of sublime soprano voices that will not leave him. Together with a few old comrades he tracks down those singers, only to find that years of hardship have reduced them to dispirited, middle-aged men; now they must reclaim the spark of their youth and the courage to perform once more.
