Synopsis
Daigo Agawa, a police officer whose career was shattered by a high-profile incident, moves with his wife and daughter to the remote mountain village of Kuge hoping for a fresh start. At first the settlement feels like refuge—despite the unsettling rumor of a predecessor who vanished—but that fragile calm shatters when an elderly woman’s body is found on the mountainside. The Goto family maintains it was a bear attack, yet Daigo spots a human bite mark and begins to suspect a cover-up. As he digs deeper, he discovers a community that hides more than it reveals, and the line between wilderness and human malice grows dangerously thin.
