Is the TV show Get Smart available on Netflix, Disney+, Prime or Apple TV+?

At Stream Tracker, we're taking a look at Get Smart (1965), the classic spy spoof that sent up James Bond and Inspector Clouseau with equal parts deadpan and slapstick. Created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry and starring Don Adams as Maxwell Smart (Agent 86), Barbara Feldon as Agent 99 and Edward Platt as the head of CONTROL, the show is best remembered for its gadgets (hello, shoe phone), the Cone of Silence, and the endless skirmishes with KAOS. Get Smart helped define televised comedy of the 1960s and later spawned movies and revivals. It also earned lasting recognition — for example, TV Guide ranked its opening title sequence No. 2 on the list of TV’s Top 10 Credit Sequences in 2010. In this article, we’ll trace the series’ legacy and, crucially, check whether you can stream Maxwell Smart’s missions right now on Netflix, Disney+, Prime Video or AppleTV+.

Get Smart

Synopsis

An American TV comedy that skewers the spy genre, Get Smart was created by Mel Brooks and Buck Henry and stars Don Adams as the hapless agent Maxwell Smart, Barbara Feldon as Agent 99, and Edward Platt as the agency’s Chief. Conceived at the request of producers who wanted to marry two contemporary sensations—Bond-style espionage and the comic absurdity of Inspector Clouseau—the series blends spy-thriller setups with broad, often surreal humor; Brooks described it as an outrageous mix of James Bond and his own comedic voice. It is also the only Mel Brooks production to use a laugh track. The show's success led to two feature films (The Nude Bomb and Get Smart, Again!), a 1995 TV revival and a 2008 movie remake, and its opening title sequence was ranked No. 2 on TV Guide’s 2010 list of Top 10 TV credit sequences.
